The Cherven region numbers 57 centres of culture including the Cherven regional centre of culture and leisure, the Smilovichi centre of culture, 17 rural cultural centres, 2 rural houses of folklore, the Cherven and Smilovichi art schools with their branches in the villages of Valevachi, Rovanichi, Grebenka, 30 libraries, the Cherven Museum of Regional Studies, the Maniuszka Museum in the settlement of Ozerny.
There are 5 art groups in the region including Verbnitsa Folk Song Band, the Smilovichi Folk Choir, a choir of the Cherven art school, craftsmen centre "Maistry Igumenshchiny".
There are 21 archeological monuments, 2 species of architecture, 112 historical and 4 memorial plaques in the Cherven region.
