Belarusian Potash Company's share in global export up to 19.3% in 2015

In 2015 Belarusian Potash Company (BPC) increased its share in the global export from 18.8% in 2014 to 19.3% in 2015. Belarusian Potash Company Director General Yelena Kudryavets presented the relevant report to Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko on 24 March, the press service of the Belarusian leader told BelTA.

The head of state was interested in the state of affairs in the potash industry, in particular, in Belarusian Potash Company's performance in 2015 and the state of affairs on international markets and the wellbeing of the leading potassium producers.

Yelena Kudryavets said that in 2015 Belarusian Potash Company exported 9.2 million tonnes of Belarusian potash fertilizers, 3.1% down from 2014. Meanwhile, according to the International Fertilizer Industry Association (IFA), the global export dropped by 5.7% in 2015.

The BPC Director General noted that while working with OAO Belaruskali the two companies bear in mind real needs of the market, try to approach production and sales in a prudent and responsible manner, and flexibly respond to demand changes for the sake of keeping the potash market balanced.
