According to Mikhail Myasnikovich, it has already become a good tradition in the EEC to lay wreaths at the graves of soldiers who gave their lives for our freedom. “I believe that such traditions will live on unconditionally - this is another testimony to our unity. As we are promoting our economic cooperation, economic cohesion, we can say that this spirit of unity has penetrated the economy of today,” he said.
In his opinion, the attempts of the West to rewrite history are doomed to fail. “Attempts to rewrite history can never be supported by our contemporaries or generations to come. Our strength is in unity. It is regrettable when parliaments, governments of the countries that fought together against fascism are now trying to impose some other values on the young generation. I think that all this is doomed to a complete failure,” Mikhail Myasnikovich emphasized.
“Today, schoolchildren and young people cherish the memory of the victories in the Great Patriotic War and achievements of the post-war period,” the chairman of the EEC Board added.
