In Borisov region, more than 1.400 "Stalag 382" concentration camp prisoners reburied

Veterans, military personnel, students were invited to the event

In Borisov district today held a ceremony of reburial of victims of war "Stalag 382" concentration camp, BelTA learned from the Barysau district executive committee.

On civil Alexeyev cemetery near the village BYTCA reburied the remains of 1,430 people - prisoners of the concentration camp "Stalag 382" soldiers of the Great Patriotic War.

After the reburial ceremony at the Palace of Culture. Gorky was an evening-requiem. veterans, military personnel, students were invited to the event. Relatives of the victims, who have come to Borisov of Russian Kazan, Moscow and Tyumen were awarded medallions inscribed with details.

Prisoners located in Borisov during World War II concentration camp for prisoners of war "Stalag 382" Nazis brought to the point of exhaustion in terms of hunger, cold and unsanitary conditions, causing many died. Most of the prisoners had been released in 1944.

Now the former "Stalag" is due regiment. Burial of prisoners found during construction work. Specialists of the 52nd separate specialized search battalion of the Armed Forces of Belarus found the remains of more than 4.300 persons.
