The jury of the contest traditionally comprises IT specialists, representatives of art unions, scientists, media specialists, government officials, and representatives of Belarusian companies and organizations. The contest features 15 main nominations such as socially important projects, websites about Belarus in a foreign language, and websites of banking and credit institutions. Besides, the jury will choose the best website in terms of design, content, and effectiveness.
Last year the organizers of the contest received 538 applications, in 2013 there were 542, and in 2012 – 512. The first edition of the expo was held in 2003. Since then, over 6,000 Belarusian websites have competed for the award.
The 22nd edition of the International Forum on Telecommunications, Information and Bank Technologies TIBO 2015 will be held in Minsk from 22 to 25 April. The forum has been organized by the Belarusian Ministry of Communication and Information Technology. In 2014 the expo showcased products of more than 200 companies and organizations from 14 countries including the largest Belarusian and foreign manufacturers of telecommunications equipment, computers, software, safety features and systems, and providers of IT services. Some 28,000 people visited the previous edition of the TIBO expo.
