MINSK, 4 November (BelTA) –The International Ice Hockey Junior Tournament -Cup of the President's Sports Club scheduled for 5-7 November was canceled due to the outbreak of a viral infection among players of one of the teams of the host country, reads a statement on the official website of the Belarus Hockey Federation, BelTA has learned.
“Following recommendations of the healthcare authorities to minimize the spread of the infection and to protect the health of participants, a decision was taken to cancel the 2020 Cup of the President's Sports Club,” the message reads.
Teams from Belarus (U-18) and (U-17) and Russia (U-17) and (U-16) were supposed to take part in this tournament.
