“For six years in a row the Belarusian social and cultural association in St Petersburg and the creative association Maestro has made presents from the Belarusians living in St Petersburg to the veterans and residents of Minsk on Independence Day,” Alexander Stankevich said. The Road of Love, a program for the symphony orchestra composed by Vileika-born Leonid Levashkevich, has been a success in many Russian towns.
The concert will take place at the Big Hall of the Belarusian State Philharmonic on 2 July. The event will be opened by Beethoven's Egmont Overture, then it will feature performances of Belarusian soloists, including famous opera singer Valentin Sukhodolets. The symphony orchestra of the Oginski Molodechno Music College will also take part in the concert.
This will be a charity concert. It was sponsored by St Petersburg philanthropists with Belarusian roots.
